"Are We a Good Fit For You?"
At Baehr Family Financial, we realize that our approach isn't right for everyone. It's important that you know not only who we are and who we work with, but also who we're not, and who we may not be a good fit for.
We are not:
- Turn it All Over to Me Advisors – Because we’re not “asset gatherers” and don’t charge commissions or assets under management fees, we can advise you on your investments wherever they are held. We won’t pressure you to bring it all under “our roof,” but we do ask that you disclose all your assets so we can advise you competently.
- Typical Wall Street Advisors – We focus on making you feel comfortable, not intimidated or dazzled. We also work hard to keep our overhead efficient, so our fees can remain affordable. You may not find extravagant 5 star client appreciation events here, but we work to make you feel appreciated in a 5 star way in all our interactions.
- Know It All Advisors – The financial world is enormous. New products and investments are created frequently. We focus on long term investment strategies and goal–oriented financial planning. We will recommend you seek attorneys and CPAs for other important financial assistance. And if you don’t know of a good professional, we have many that we can recommend. We won't always have all the answers for you, but we'll do our best to find them.
- Product Sales Advisors – When the genuine need for a product arises we won’t be selling it to you. Instead we advocate for you as a consumer to find the right products for the most value.
Our approach may not be right for you if:
- You're looking for a one-time transaction better suited for a commission based sale. We take the holistic approach to financial planning seriously, and wouldn't feel right about investing your money for you without the benefit of a planning relationship.
- You prefer to invest in a commission based product, where the advisor is compensated by the sale. While we believe the fee only approach provides great value, it does involve making a payment. You may prefer a fee that is embedded within the product. In that case, a qualified commission-based advisor may be a better fit for you.
